Workabout
I worked as a part of a team to redesign this service which helps users to find a casual place to work from and to make connections with others working nearby.
We dealt with issues around privacy and shyness, cross device journeys and location services.
We shifted the platform to responsive web, and remodelled the information architecture. We delivered a rebrand which reflected the energy and tone of the user behaviour which we wanted to engender.

Free Will!
I developed a native app for mobile aimed at assisting those with addiction to social media. I aimed to offer users an opportunity to self-assess and control this psychologically complex issue.
Storyboarding, experience mapping, sketching and wireframing were followed by prototyping and user testing. Through low and mid-fidelity the concept developed to be led by gamification and illustrated storytelling.

Dove Active
I worked with a team to develop a health tracker app for mobile with a view to promoting body positivity and inclusivity.
We chose to present healthiness through benefit oriented suggestion, whilst avoiding representations of idealised bodies and competitive goal setting. With careful consideration of colour, form and typography, we developed a visual identity for the app including original illustrations and representations of health metrics which emphasised cultivation over competition.

Polaris Books
I developed a desktop ecommerce site for a small, independent bookshop keen to reach a broader audience.
Research touched on “WACD” (what Amazon can’t do) and the comparative phenomenology of a local bookshop visit versus an online bookshopping experience.
The resulting site prioritised curated elements and used visual metaphor to present search in a way which imitated the real life bookshop experience. This project inspired me to think about potential uses for virtual reality in retail.

Native Speaker
I am currently working on a project to develop a website and brand materials for this IT consultancy.
